The Assyrian Anti-Christ
The Antichrist is often described in Christian teachings as a future figure opposing Jesus Christ. He’s believed to deceive many through false claims of divinity and power, leading people away from God. Mentioned in the Bible, particularly in the books of Daniel, 2 Thessalonians, and Revelation, the Antichrist symbolizes ultimate evil and rebellion against truth. Some interpret him as a single person, while others see it as a system or movement. Views on who or what the Antichrist is vary widely across different groups and beliefs.
Isaiah 1425 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
Isaiah 1923 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
Isaiah 23:13 Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; and he brought it to ruin. 14 Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste. 15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.
Isaiah 3031 For through the voice of the Lord shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod.
Isaiah 317 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin. 8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited. 9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
